In a spiritual world of quick fixes and vague emotion, is it crazy to believe there is still a place for insights based on simple, basic, theological understanding. I believe it is worth exploring.
I think that being made in the image of God often gives us god-complexes when we are young. This fades as we age and realize how little we actually control.
ReplyDeleteThere is a lot of truth in that, though I have known some older people who even then refuse to let go of the idea they are in control.
DeleteSome folks are either crazy or just live charmed lives.
DeleteCould be. Though when I think of how many years it has taken God to pound into my head I am not it control, even though I in theory knew better to begin with. And how I still struggle with it. I think there is a certain amount of craziness in a lot of us.
