Old Erich Proverb - Disguise

If human beings are basically good, how do we manage to disguise the fact so well?

    I guess it depends on what you mean by the words 'basically' and 'good'.

    If one is 'basically good' does that mean that they will always do good? Or does it mean that they are capable of doing good? Or does it mean that, they have a proclivity for doing good?

    I feel that humans were created with the capacity to choose to do good things. Sadly, so much in life shapes people in such a way that they choose to do bad things.
