In a spiritual world of quick fixes and vague emotion, is it crazy to believe there is still a place for insights based on simple, basic, theological understanding. I believe it is worth exploring.

A Touch of Humor - The Building Program
Can the external aspects of the service of God get blown out of proportion? How can we put them back in proportion?
I think that studies have proven that building programs actually attract new people. People like stuff they can see. Maybe if they saw more poor people their resources would go to ministries that help the homeless and the less fortunate?
I was not aware of the studies you mention, but I have known more than one case where a building program has had the opposite result. But I agree whichever way it works the less fortunate would generally be a better investment.
