Old Erich Proverb - Nothing

God making something out of nothing is more reasonable than nothing making something out of nothing.

  2. I think God has to be taken as a given. The alternative to taking something or Someone as a given is either something from nothing or an infinite series of things none of which really ought to have existed in the first place.

  3. I agree with you Mike. Even so, the whole idea of God not having a beginning is so mysterious and mind twisting. Perhaps that is what it means to be "I Am"?

  4. I agree, such things are hard to wrap our minds around. Particularly for us who are so used to having our own beginnings. But I think "I am" is a good way of describing that kind of existence.

  5. For some time I have been pondering those two words Mike. "I Am" seems to capture the essence of God who has no beginning and has no end. He simply is, has always been and will always be. Truly amazing and worthy of all we have. Praise his name.
