God never promised us that we would be comfortable in this world, and it is a mistake for us to expect it.

      I see it as a situation where we would never have our beliefs or moral principles challenged. Where we could live as Christians without having anything we hold questioned.

    I like that Mike. Life seemed to be designed to cause us to struggle. Without struggle we would be weak beings.

      I agree, though sometimes it is hard to remember that in the midst of the trial.
