In a spiritual world of quick fixes and vague emotion, is it crazy to believe there is still a place for insights based on simple, basic, theological understanding. I believe it is worth exploring.

A Touch of Humor - Exchanging Gifts
Why can we so easily ignore the things we have in pursuit of what want? How do we avoid this?
We downsized when we moved in 2010 and got rid of half of what we had. These days when I get something new I try to get rid of something old - a lot harder to do than you would think. :)
I can sympathize with that. We live in a small condo (translation, an apartment we own) and my wife is always trying to get rid of old stuff to make room for new stuff and sometimes I find it hard to part with, Especially if it is books.
We live in a condo too Mike. We have more storage than most but I hate to keep things I do not need. Interesting how I feel a need to keep empty boxes. :)

ReplyDeleteEmpty boxes or books I have not read in years. I understand the tendency.
