Old Erich Proverb - Prison
It is a narrow prison to have your thinking stuck in your own time period.
I subscribe to C. S. Lewis' suggestion of reading old books. This can seem intimidating, but I have often found that the older authors are easier to understand than the modern people who write about them.
I agree Mike. Just read a book by Randy Alcorn titled Heaven. I did not agree with a lot of what he wrote but felt that he gave me something to think about.
Great thought Mike. How do you think we can best get unstuck?

DeleteGood thought Mike. I have found new books to be helpful too.
DeleteCertainly wouldn't avoid them. Anything you read gives you new perspectives. Especially if they are not advocating what you always believed.
