In a spiritual world of quick fixes and vague emotion, is it crazy to believe there is still a place for insights based on simple, basic, theological understanding. I believe it is worth exploring.

A Touch of Humor - Point of Contention
What kind of things should we teach children? How much can they understand?
I have found that telling someone to do something like that, whether children or adult has very limited impact.
Demonstrating it is better. But I think what needs to happen in the long run is to teach a child about the deep love of God so they have an ultimate example to imitate.
Teach them how to love their enemies.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good idea to me. How do we go about teaching children that?
DeleteHow do we teach them about anything?

I think that we can give them examples of people who have forgiven and loved their enemies. Corrie ten Boon comes to mind.
ReplyDeleteThat is one way to go about demonstrating it and that is a good example.
