In a spiritual world of quick fixes and vague emotion, is it crazy to believe there is still a place for insights based on simple, basic, theological understanding. I believe it is worth exploring.

A Touch of Humor - Vicious Cycle
How can the desire for material things become a distorting influence in Christian ministry? How can we avoid this?
Be wise in our giving. Know how our churches budget their expenditures. Encourage leaders to speak openly open their compensation package. Bottom line, encourage transparency and accountability in the church.
With that I totally agree. If there is not transparency there is no way to know where the money is spent. Though I do think a congregation can become too controlling. There needs to be a balance of accountability and respect, until that respect has been violated.

DeletePerhaps the avenue to respect is transparency?
DeleteCertainly it is one of the fundamental requirements.
