What Might an Ideal “Thanksgiving Week” Look Like?

In a spiritual world of quick fixes and vague emotion, is it crazy to believe there is still a place for insights based on simple, basic, theological understanding. I believe it is worth exploring.
So true Mike. It does beg the question of where God came from though. :)
ReplyDeleteI think God has to be taken as a given. The alternative to taking something or Someone as a given is either something from nothing or an infinite series of things none of which really ought to have existed in the first place.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Mike. Even so, the whole idea of God not having a beginning is so mysterious and mind twisting. Perhaps that is what it means to be "I Am"?
ReplyDeleteI agree, such things are hard to wrap our minds around. Particularly for us who are so used to having our own beginnings. But I think "I am" is a good way of describing that kind of existence.
ReplyDeleteFor some time I have been pondering those two words Mike. "I Am" seems to capture the essence of God who has no beginning and has no end. He simply is, has always been and will always be. Truly amazing and worthy of all we have. Praise his name.
