In a spiritual world of quick fixes and vague emotion, is it crazy to believe there is still a place for insights based on simple, basic, theological understanding. I believe it is worth exploring.

Old Erich Proverb - Twisting the Arm
Faith is not a technique to twist the arm of God, but a confident trust in our Father, who loves us.
Do you see faith and trust as the same thing?
ReplyDeleteAt least in this context, yes. Do you see a distinction?
DeleteSeems like faith is a byproduct of trust. We have faith in something or someone because it/they are trustable.
DeleteI am not quite sure I understand your distinction. It is clear we trust people because they are trustable, but how does faith differ from this?
DeleteYeah. I think that there is not that much of a distinction. I was thinking about the idea of how I trust God because of what I believe about him.
DeleteI would agree that our trust in God is grounded in God's character and what we believe about that character.
