Old Erich Proverb - Mask

If you cannot learn to lay aside your mask at the church door when you come to worship God, where will you lay aside your mask?

    An interesting question Mike. Why do you think that church is probably the last place a person takes their mask off?

      I think it is because we have cultivated a culture of performance rather than grace. So rather than looking to help hurting people and admitting we need that help, we try to convince others we have it all together and they should too.

      I so agree with you Mike. Even our grace gifts are sometimes an opportunity to out perform each other.
