Should we see church programs as baby-sitting services? What should they be?

    I taught Jr High Sunday School for 3 years back in the early 80s. Also had a High School Youth for Christ group that met weekly in our home for 3 years in the late 70s. In each case there were kids that wanted to be there and ones who did not. Not sure what the message is but kids that were baby-sat often ruined it for the kids who wanted to learn.

      Having taught children for many years, in Awana, Vacation Bible School, children's church and Sunday school, I have to agree with your observation. I am not sure what to do about it. I hate to write people off, but you also cannot force someone to learn if they do not want to.
