    Generally speaking, I certainly agree with that. Yet I guess it depends how one defines success.

      I agree. I would see success as success in carrying out God's will and not how the world defines success.

    Perhaps we succeed each time we overcome fleshly temptation and demonstrate God's character?

      Certainly that is a basic part of it. Also it we are faithful in a given situation, even if we are not successful as judged from results.
